The Local Government Unit of Trinidad, Bohol joyfully celebrated the culmination of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary and the much-awaited LGU-Trinidad Family Day 2025 last October 4, 2025, at the scenic Quinale Beach, Anda, Bohol. The event was filled with excitement, camaraderie, and the vibrant spirit of unity among LGU employees and their families.
With the theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next 125 Years: Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future”, this year’s celebration highlighted the dedication and hard work of public servants while strengthening relationships through fun and meaningful activities.

A Day of Fun, Fellowship, Awards, and Friendly Competition
The day started early at 7:00 a.m., with all participants assembling at the Trinidad Municipal Hall before traveling together to Anda. The event officially opened at 8:00 a.m. with an invocation and singing of hymns led by Mr. Ardian G. Docdoc, Youth Development Officer (Designate), followed by warm opening remarks from Hon. Joan Robie Cajes Imboy, Municipal Vice Mayor and Chairperson of the SB Committee on Personnel Matters.
The morning program at 8:30 p.m. with the Awarding of Agency Level Awards, recognizing loyal and outstanding employees who exemplified dedication and excellence in public service. Awards included:
- Loyalty Award
- Retirement Award
- Best Employees (Casual Plantilla, Rank-and-File, and Department Head Categories)
- Best Department/Office Award
The energy soared with the Inter-Offices Song and Yell Contest at 9:30 a.m., where teams showcased their creativity, teamwork, and spirit through lively performances. Each presentation reflected unity and enthusiasm, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the day.
At 10:00 a.m., laughter and cheers filled the air during the Inter-Offices Macho Gay Contest — a lighthearted competition designed to promote inclusivity, creativity, and confidence while celebrating diversity and talent in a fun, respectful way. Contestants impressed both judges and the crowd through entertaining introductions and witty Q&A portions.
Lunch, and Recognitions
At 12:00 noon, everyone gathered for a Fellowship Lunch accompanied by live music from the Music Icon Band, giving everyone a chance to relax, bond, and enjoy the beach atmosphere.
Immediately after, the dance floor came alive at 1:00 p.m. with the Inter-Offices Zumba Contest. Teams representing different colors brought their best moves, energy, and synchronization, making it one of the day’s highlights. The beachside setting, music, and enthusiasm created a vibrant and healthy celebration of teamwork.
Municipal Mayor Atty. Roberto C. Cajes, PhD delivered an inspiring message, commending the employees’ unwavering service and encouraging continued commitment to excellence and public welfare.
Fun Until the End
At 3:30 p.m., winners of the inter-office contests were formally proclaimed, followed by heartfelt Closing Remarks from Dr. Quirino T. Nugal Jr., PhD, DPA, PhD, the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer. He also proclaimed over all winner the RED Team.
The celebration continued with Parlor Games at 4:00 p.m., where teams and families participated in fun activities that brought laughter and joy to everyone. The event concluded at 5:00 p.m. as the participants traveled home, carrying with them smiles, memories, and a renewed sense of belonging.
A Celebration of Service and Family
The LGU-Trinidad Family Day 2025 successfully combined recognition, recreation, and relationship-building. It not only celebrated the achievements of dedicated public servants but also strengthened the bonds among employees and their families — embodying the true essence of public service with heart, unity, and joy.
