The Municipality of Trinidad proudly celebrated its 78th Town Anniversary with a week-long series of activities from August 19 to September 1, 2025. The festivities brought together residents, visitors, and partner institutions in events that highlighted the town’s culture, talents, and unity. More than just a commemoration, the celebration became an expression of Trinidadnons’ pride in their heritage, gratitude for their progress, and hope for a brighter future.


August 19 – Kick-Off: Tabo sa Ipil / Night Market

The celebration officially opened with the lively Tabo sa Ipil / Night Market, held at the Food Park Building in the Trinidad Business Park. Stalls featured local delicacies, crafts, and homegrown products, making the venue a hub for families, friends, and visitors. The night market not only promoted local entrepreneurs but also showcased the bayanihan spirit and economic resilience of the town.


August 29 – Health, Public Service, and Fellowship

On August 29, residents gathered at dawn for the Dagan Ipilanos 2025 at 5:00 AM, which promoted fitness, camaraderie, and healthy living. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) also provided services through a One Stop Shop, bringing government assistance closer to the people.

The day concluded with the much-enjoyed TMC Night at 8:00 PM, which featured performances and entertainment that brought joy and laughter to the community.


August 30 – Agriculture and Sports as Pillars of Growth

The spotlight turned to agriculture on August 30 with the opening of the Agri-Fair at 9:00 AM. Farmers, fisherfolk, and local producers showcased fresh harvests, livestock, and agri-based products, underscoring the importance of agriculture in Trinidad’s economy.

At 1:00 PM, the Tanod Drill highlighted the discipline and preparedness of barangay tanods in ensuring peace and security. The day ended with the Open Basketball League Elimination games at 6:00 PM, bringing together athletes and sports enthusiasts in friendly yet competitive matches.


August 31 – Championship Excitement and Ongoing Festivities

On August 31, the Open League Basketball Championship at 6:00 PM thrilled sports fans as teams competed for victory and pride. Meanwhile, the Agri-Fair and Tabo sa Ipil / Night Market continued, giving residents and visitors more opportunities to experience Trinidad’s culture, flavors, and festive atmosphere.


September 1 – The Grand Anniversary Celebration

The highlight of the celebration came on September 1. The day began with the traditional Diana at 4:00 AM, followed by the Anniversary Mass at 7:00 AM, where the faithful gathered in thanksgiving. At 9:00 AM, the Anniversary Parade filled the streets with vibrant colors, creativity, and unity as schools, organizations, and community groups proudly marched.

By 11:00 AM, the Short Anniversary Program formally honored the town’s founding, achievements, and milestones. In the afternoon, the DLC Drum & Lyre Competition at 1:00 PM showcased the rhythm and artistry of the youth, adding more vibrance to the festivities.

As night fell, the skies were illuminated by a dazzling Fireworks Display, symbolizing joy and hope. The celebration culminated in a lively Live Band and LGU Night at 7:00 PM, where residents and leaders gathered for music, fun, and fellowship. The day also marked the closing of the Agri-Fair and Tabo sa Ipil / Night Market.
