The water scarcity issue in Trinidad has been a major concern for approximately 35,000 residents and has adversely affected the daily lives of the community particularly the health and sanitation concern, which is making it a top priority for the administration of Mayo Cajes.

With the aim of mitigating this water crisis, my administration prioritizes these challenges under my executive agenda”, Mayor Cajes expressed. The local government unit embarked on an initiative to enter into PPP scheme for the Bulk Potable Water Supply through a Swiss challenge to encourage the interested big water supplier company to submit their proposal for bulk water supply. The Richli Corporation has the most feasible term of reference for Bulk Water Supply, aside from it being a Bohol-based private water utility company with the advanced technology of water treatment facility.

Ralph Lim, the president of Richli Corporation, pointed out that “this contract signing makes a significant milestone for the municipality, making it the first municipality of the Province of Bohol to enter into a Public-Private Partnership agreement for Bulk Potable Water Supply and will change the lives of the people in Trinidad.” The RICHLI is committed to the people of Trinidad with a safe and potable water supply 24/7 and be the partner for development, the young president added.

The groundbreaking of the BPWS will be this coming August 10, 2023, and the project will commence immediately after and will finish in 10 months according to the contract agreement signed by the LGU and RICHLI.
